Single vs. Double Printhead Configuration
Which do you need?
For dark or colored surfaces, our UV flatbed printer requires a white base to achieve well-saturated colors. Here's how it works with each configuration:
Single Printhead:
Prints CMYK+W (full color + white). First, the white base is printed and dried, then the colors are printed over it. This process involves two passes over the print area.
Double Printhead:
One printhead prints and dries the white base, while the second printhead prints the colors in a single pass. This setup doubles the printing speed for designs requiring a white base.
